Climate and orientation

Shares Ahmedabad's dry heat but its planted sectors run a few degrees cooler under tree cover. Generous tree-shaded plots let designers use larger windows toward the garden. We also check the plot facing early, because Vastu placement and sun path have to be solved together.

Soil and structure

Sandy alluvium with good drainage and a moderate water table; conventional isolated footings serve well in nearly every sector. Our structural engineer sizes footings and columns from the soil report, which is why we ask for a soil test before the working drawings are issued.

Approvals in Gandhinagar

Plans are sanctioned by Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation and GUDA. The planned city sectors usually carry a sector-specific low FSI and a mandatory front margin under the GUDA GDCR, while the Kudasan and Sargasan belt follows the Gujarat Comprehensive GDCR. We draw to those setbacks and ground coverage limits from the first sketch, so the sanction drawing and the design are the same drawing.
